How to wear yer 'mom' jeans.

'Mom' jeans have finally hit the high street sparking a new craze among fashionistas around the globe. Topshop have especially grasped the trend offering you many different types to fall in love with. I just love them cause they're comfy, they don't cut the circulation off in your thighs and you don't have to lie on your back to pull them up. I struggled a bit getting them right as I am a tad on the shorter side, so I chucked some chunky boots in to add a few inches. Yas. A cami top also works well as it slims your shoulders and looks delicate against the bagginess of the jeans . If you don't want your arms out chuck a baggy shirt on top and tie it at the waist. Sorted.

Recent Purchase.

The weekend is finally upon us,  and since I finished at 3 today There was still some light to catch a few wee snaps of my most recent purchases.
This black maxi dress is a life saver if you're in a rush and just want to be comfy. It's from Monki.com and just reminds me of walking around in a blanket, perfect for work and casual days. Pair with a bold necklace and a wooly jumper.
I managed to pick up this daisy chain in forever 21 for a VERY reasonable price, it's perfect for brightening up some of the plainer things in the wardrobe.

Finally this cute wee hair bow also from Forever 21. I've been trying to find a clip on bow for ages which is small enough to fit on my head. This one is nice and dainty and adds a wee zing to any bun or pony.

Gelato in the Grassmarket.

I am in love with Edinburgh's Grassmarket. There I said it.
The old town colourful streets wrap around local businesses and familiar faces. To top it all off there has been a semi recent addition to the Grassmarket family; GELATO. I know what you're thinking. How could something so cold possibly be enjoyed somewhere so cold. Trust me, 3 degree weather should be no reason to not enjoy a cheeky wee sorbet. Ignore the frosty breath and numb toes and go to Mary's Milk Bar.

They make all of their Gelato on site and also home make the chocolate treats which are gorgeously gift wrapped.

I had the Spiced apple sorbet and the Super dark chocolate sorbet which are both dairy free! Perfect for vegans and allergies. They were both absolutely delicious and I am dying to get back in there and try some more!

Along with the homemade artisan chocolate there's drinks like Affogato and Hot chocolate which I am still needing to try. Thank goodness it's just down the road. Lovely wee place, the only sad part is when you eat it all.

Scottish Beaches & Weekend madness

Good day!

I've had a jam packed weekend with trips to Glasgow, espresso tasting and chilly walks on the beach.
On Friday Me and Case went out to North Berwick to sample some coffee from Steampunk which is an independent roastery and coffee shop located in North Berwick. We were so Buzzin after, we had to have a wee run on the beach.

We also got a chance to take a few shots of my OOTD with a scenic background to jazz up the shots.

I also went to see my favourite band Frightened Rabbit at the O2 academy in Glasgow last night which was amazing. I was planning on doing a separate blog post on the gig. However my camera was confiscated at the door as I must of looked like such a professional. Need to work on that journalists pass! This is all I got.

Cocktails, good company and a very special birthday bash.

Bonjour

On Thursday I was lucky enough to attend a very special 20 year milestone for Bar Kohl located on George IV bridge Edinburgh. Bar Kohl is a gorgeous cocktail creating hub sitting in the old town area of the city and has been entertaining people since 1993. To celebrate their 20th birthday they have launched an amazing new menu particularly focusing on fresh apple, pineapple, lemon and lime juice to make their cocktails taste even better! The juice is made by my very own place of work Hula juice bar just down the road. The night itself was spectacular with lofty lighting, 90's beats blasting and complementary nibbles and drinks all night, it simply wasn't possible to be unimpressed. Thank you for an excellent night.

Helllooo!

It's suddenly gotten so cold here in sunny Scotland,  and swear I saw a snowflake the other day. So I am taking no chances. Heres a wee list of the cosy things you will need for the chilly months ahead.

The best ever chocolate brownies.

This morning I decided to reignite my passion for ballet and attended a class at Dancebase. I thought it would all come rushing back to me. I'm still waiting. However although I stumbled around the room at 100 miles an hour, I had a great time and walked out of the building feeling fresh and flexible.
Then I made brownies.

I have finally decided to share my secret recipe for the best chocolate brownies ever, If I do say so myself.

You will need:
185g unsalted butter
185g dark chocolate
85g plain flour
40g cocoa powder
50g white chocolate
50g milk chocolate
3 large eggs
275g golden caster sugar

1. Cut butter into small cubes and tip into a medium bowl. Break dark chocolate into the bowl with the butter and melt over a medium heat.

2. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees and grease a shallow tin.
Tip flour and cocoa powder into another bowl and mix together.

3. Chop white and milk chocolate into small chunk and put to one side.

4.Break the eggs into a large bowl and tip sugar in as well. Use an electric whisk until it looks thick and creamy.

5. pour the melted chocolate over the eggy mouse then fold together.

6. Hold sieve over the bowl of eggy chocolate mixture and fold it again until mooted dark brown. Finally fold in the chocolate chunks.

7. Pour mixture into the tin and bake for 25 minutes.

Wish list- November 13'

Evening!
Again I am here creating a long long list of beautiful things which I simply cannot afford, but hey a girl can dream eh. Nike air max 1's are number one at the moment and these ones in particular have caught my eye. They are part of the limited edition collection from the collaboration between Liberty London and Nike, so better get saving up my tips. I love baggy t-shirts and high waisted jeans and the Joni jeans from topshop are extremely comfy and really good quality. I'm always loving my chains and midi rings. I also think I should invest in a laptop case before I break the overpriced machine...

Halloween madness.

Halloween has come and gone for another year. I saw some amazing costumes, and even attempted to partake in the shenanigans (pinterest fail). I decided to be a deer this year, I know , so terrifying. However it cost me nothing as I just used my normal makeup  and a wee tutorial off Youtube.

All you need is:
White face paint
Bronzer
Liquid eyeliner
Eyebrow pencil
Mascara
Hair band
White out contacts
Some twigs for antlers
